Walang Himala Debunked.

You performed miraculous signs and wonders in Egypt and have continued them to this day, both in Israel and among ALL mankind, and have gained the renown that is still yours. -Jeremiah 32:20

MIRACLE. We always wish we have this chance-of-a-lifetime event. We view it as something grand; something too big we don't deserve; something marvelous and of course, unexpected. This also serve as a life-changing experience for some. Whatever it means to all of us, we cling onto it at the most desperate point of our lives. And we all know the Doer  of the could-we-all-have-this thing- GOD.

We experience being so desperate at some point in our lives where in we feel we can't do anything about the situation. In my case, it once happened when I was about to take the Post Grad admission test at PNU. In my test permit, it was indicated that the schedule of my exam was May 20, 2012, 10:30 a.m.- 12:30 p.m. Obviously, when you take up an exam, you should be at the venue ahead of time. But that doesn't always happen. The s-word really happens when you least expect it to (well, who expects an unfortunate event anyway). Since I was able to finish preparing for the exam at 9 a.m., I got my ride by 9:20. The idea that the PUV had to wait for more passengers didn't cross my mind. I didn't include the waiting time in my time table. So, to cut it short, my ride took off by 9:45. My estimated travel time is 1.5 hours, excluded traffic jam since it's Sunday. Given that estimated time, my expected time of arrival would be 11 a.m. Technically, I would not make it on time. My hopes of taking the exam reached the lowest level when my friend told me that they have to start the exam and they're not allowed to use gadgets anymore. While I was on my way, I was already thinking of talking to the people at the Admissions Office if it would be possible to reschedule  my exam. Suddenly, I remembered what happened during my undergraduate entrance exam. I was also late at that time but they allowed me to take the exam. For whatever, reason it was, I still didn't know why. As that thought crossed my mind, I talked to God. "If You were able to allow me to take the exam 5 years ago, I believe You will allow me to take this exam today. I can't find my way. But I believe, You have Your own way."

With faith in Him, I walked straight to the exam room. I asked the proctor, who happens to be my professor before, if I could still take the exam given that I was past 30 minutes late. She said gently,  "Talk to the people at the Admissions Office." And so I did. Surprisingly, the lady at the office said I am allowed to take the exam later at 1:30 p.m. I praised God immediately after receiving the good news. 2 minutes after, the lady approached me and said, "Tara, sama ka sa akin." I asked her why. She said I am allowed to take the exam NOW. Praise God even more! Just when I thought I received the good thing He has for me, He has already prepared something better. It was like He was only waiting for my response upon receiving the first good news that He would be so much willing to give me another miracle. So, this is my first miracle of the day.

Miracles happen unexpectedly. It was almost 10 p.m. but my friends and I were still at MOA. We had to do a lot of catch-ups since we missed one another badly. We ate, walked while talked, laughed and laughed again. By the time the mall closed, we decided to part ways. I planned to take the MRT- North Edsa- Home route but since it was already 10 p.m., the station was closed. Leo and I took the FX instead. I smiled when we got into it because the music playing was Christian/ Gospel music. I even told Leo, "Safe tayo dito. :)" And so the FX departed. My friend was the first to get off the vehicle since his house is just in Blumentritt. I was left seated in the middle portion of the FX. At Araneta, there were three men who rode. I was a bit suspicious of them but I let the thought pass. I was singing to the tune of "Say So" by Israel Houghton when the guy seated next to me was doing the drum beat of the song. I thought he must also be a Christian because it seemed he also knew the song. While I was singing, I was also repenting because of my negative thoughts against the guy. Suddenly, the three guys got off at a very unusual place. It was in front of the Lung Center but not at the entrance. It was a very dark place. By the time they got off, the driver told us, "Mga loko-lokong yun. Walang mahold-up kaya bumaba na lang. Wala lang ako makitang mobile (police car) pero papatimbrehan ko talaga yung mga yun." I froze for a moment. I let Manong's words sink into my head. I WAS SEATED BESIDE A BAD GUY. Okay. My hands were cold but I was praying. I was thanking God. I was praising His goodness. I was testifying for His glory while I was texting my friends. I asked them to pray for me because I was still afraid even though the bad guys were gone. I was thinking, "Yes, I was seated with those bad guys but the Good Lord lives within me. That alone makes me more powerful than any men who try to do me wrong." I constantly prayed and praised God on my way home. Miracles, indeed happen.

As I wrote these miraculous events, I was asking myself, "What are the other miracles for today?" I felt I ought to thank God for more. While I was thinking, I realized it was a miracle that I woke up this morning. Plus, I didn't just wake up; I woke up healthy. My loved ones, too, woke up. It was another day given by the Miracle- Doer. It was simple if you do not see life as a great gift by the Life- Giver. But if you would think, really think of it, no one in this world could give you life if not for Him. Our life, no matter how good or bad as we think it is, is already a MIRACLE.

And you should be thankful for that.
